About Marina.

Hey, folks!

I’m Marina (she/they). I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the states of Missouri and Colorado, working with adults and relationships.

I offer virtual therapy sessions in Missouri and Colorado, and coaching sessions anywhere! I specialize in sex therapy (sexuality and relationships), sexual dysfunctions, identity and transition, LGBTQIA+ populations, themes around intimacy and pleasure, communication difficulties, and navigating systems of oppression. I am passionate about helping clients who have been historically oppressed access liberatory pleasure.

Drawing from a primarily Narrative Therapy and an intersectional queer and feminist approach I gently encourage clients to claim and uplift their own truths. I look forward to challenging the limiting and isolating scripts that society has handed us about sex, sexuality, gender, and relationships. I view sex therapy as fundamentally anti-capitalist, abolitionist, and liberatory work.

I chose to become a therapist because I am endlessly fascinated by the messages we all receive about sex, pleasure, relationships, power, and worth. Those who know me will be the first to tell you I am curious to a fault, and this absolutely translates to my work. Supporting couples and individuals in exploring the origin stories of patterns of conflict management, communication, attachment, power, and pleasure brings me such fulfillment. Empowering people to live their most liberated, pleasurable, and grounded lives? Literally never gets old for me. Sitting with people in uncomfortable, uncertain, or vulnerable moments is truly an honor.

When I’m not sitting in my therapy chair asking you super personal questions (to help you accomplish your goals), I access peace and pleasure by exploring the incredible food scene here in Colorado, getting tattooed, moving my body, and taking my pups into the mountains every chance I get.

I know firsthand how disempowering internalized beliefs about sexuality, relationships, and gender can be, and how much time and healing it takes to form new practices around mental and relational wellness. I’m here for whatever pace you’re ready for. There’s no rush.

Let’s get started.

If you’re ready to begin your journey toward healing, connection, and authenticity, I’d love to hear from you. Please fill out this form, and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible to discuss how we can work together.

Your privacy and comfort are important to me, so please feel free to share as much or as little as you'd like. I look forward to connecting with you soon.

“‘Queer’ not as being about who you're having sex with (that can be a dimension of it); but 'queer' as being about the self that is at odds with everything around it and that has to invent and create and find a place to speak and to thrive and to live.”
